Leigh initially joined Charleston Birth Place as a part time midwife to help cover weekends, holidays, and vacations. We are pleased to announce that she is now full-time. She comes to us with many years experience helping families welcome their new babies in an environment that promotes natural childbirth.

Renee is our business manager and has many years experience with managing medical offices. Renee can help answer questions regarding billing or insurance. Renee@charlestonbirthplace.com

Front Office

An Atlanta native, Laurie and her husband have now moved Charleston.  She worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 4 ½ years, earning her Masters Degree at Emory while working as a labor nurse at Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia.  She has been a Certified Nurse Midwife since December of 1999.  While in Atlanta, Laurie worked as a CNM at Northside Hospital in Atlanta.  She is excited about helping women give birth in a less invasive, more relaxing environment and looking forward to working with families at Charleston Birth Place. laurie@charlestonbirthplace.com
